Pony Rides

While driving home after Jessica’s soccer game last week we saw that the Evan’s Family Farm (opposite side of the street of Jordan Willows) was giving  pony rides for $3 and had a little petting zoo. As soon as Paige and Brooklyn saw it they said they wanted to ride them (more like yelled). They weren’t ponies though, they were miniature horses. They o horses! They were so cute, especially the little black one that Brooklyn rode.

Delicious Recipes from Bunco!

I'm in a bunco group with 12 ladies in our ward. It's once a month and I count down the days for bunco night! It's a nice break and it only cost me $5.00 for 2+ hours, sometimes I win a nice prize, I get fed and I get to spend time with good friends (and there's always chocolate)!Sometimes Jessica will sub for someone (a few of the daughters get to sub) which is nice. Where can I get all that for $5.00? :)
One of the best things I like are trying other people's recipes. Last week at Bunco we had a yummy Chicken Salad on crescent rolls and a dill dip with veggies. (BTW, I tied for the Bunco prize with two other ladies but I didn't win the roll-off...BUT, I had the fuzzy dice at the end of the game so I got the "travel" prize!)

Fun with Friends

I haven't been blogging that much, but what I have posted for the last year was deleted.....by me. I have no idea what I did, but I deleted all my posts! I literally felt sick when I couldn't recover them. So, we're starting over. *sigh* :(

Today after church we had our good friends, Paul and Becca McAlister and their kids, over for a barbecue. Jason and I have known Paul since I was about 14 or 15 years old (wow, that's over half of my life). We've stayed friends all this time....Jason and Paul are best friends. It's nice to live in the same city as them now, instead of on the other side of the county, but unfortunately they're moving South Carolina the end of July. We'll miss them!

We were able to eat outside and the kids enjoyed playing with each other. I don't think I heard any fighting or screaming. In fact, it was a rather peaceful evening until Brooklyn fell down a few stairs. Those were the only tears all night. A big change from the last few days.

Paige enjoyed playing with the big girls and Brooklyn like following Michael around...I think she has her first crush! One time, she ran up to him from behind and grabbed onto him and he almost went down! I hope she's a LITTLE more shy when she's older or we'll be in trouble!

Right now we're watching Bedtime Stories and it has put Brooklyn to sleep! I guess chasing boys around can wear you out! I guess I'm in for a late night, or JASON is in for an early morning! LOL

Last night we watched Marley & Me. It was a cute movie but I told Jason it was a good movie to remind me that I never want a dog. Jason and the girls (except for Alli) would love a dog but I told Jason *IF* we get one it won't be for a couple years because I need a couple years without having to deal with poop.... which leads me to Brooklyn. We are attempting to potty train her. For one week, she would only pee in the toilet. The next week she would only poop in the toilet. Thankfully she's still pooping in the toilet but has a few wet Pull-ups here and there. She's a funny one....she'll stay dry at church but when we get home she doesn't want to be a "big girl". So, if we ever get a dog it won't be for a while! This mom needs a break!
